Of course because it’s online it has a tiny bit more regulations but it’s only to help keep the game balance. The only bad thing would be it’s matchmaking. Matchmaking pairs you up with anybody so if your new to the game you might end up playing a long time player who will have better cards. Other than that the game is great and completely free which is what makes the game so much better. There’s a single player where you play against the AI and can earn booster packs or play against real people and earn rewards there as.

You earn coins in the game that you can use in the shop to buy booster packs and theme decks. Gaem game, when you finish the annoying registration process, starts off with absolutely no real instructions on what to do to actually start playing.

It does have a tutorial, which only gives instructions on HOW to play, which, for people like me who’ve played since they were kids, is not necessary. After mousing over the different icons, you see a «play» option, which looks like the typical arrow pointing right.

Clicking on it gives you options for battling AI trainers, versus, tournament which I never tried and some others which I didn’t try. The biggest problem I have is really the deck editor. You CAN click on an option to view cards you don’t own, but I never clicked on it. This is a giant detractor for people who actually want to make legal decks for standard play. I used to play pokemon in the past, sure, but I have not been keeping up with the latest packs.

Thirdly, the deck editor shows very small cards. There is no way to zoom in on a list of cards but rather you must zoom in on each individual card and scroll.
